Singing Is A Talent I Like To Think I Have

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be as good a singer as the Spice Girls. My sister and I would have band practice in our bedroom, but she was the only one who was blessed with a singing voice. That doesn't mean I stopped trying, unfortunately, for everybody else.

Maybe I'll magically get better

They say practice makes perfect, but not with my singing voice. Although, nobody ever specified how much practice, so I'll just have to keep singing!

I haven't gotten any royalties yet!       

I don't know what makes us feel safe enough to sing in the shower. Maybe we think that the water is a soundproof shield or the sound of an audience clapping. When can I expect my check? 

Everyone wins with karaoke

When that one jam comes on, everybody turns into a superstar. Journey did tell us:"Don't stop believin'." I don't think anyone singing karaoke ever stopped believing.

It deserves to be sung

Sometimes, when your favorite song comes on, you just have to give it the love it deserves. Unfortunately, in my case, love can sound worse than a cat demanding attention at 3 a.m.

Buckle up, guys!

How else are you supposed to pass the time, anyway? You might as well join in so that a good song is not just tainted by my voice. Singers always sound better with backup vocals.
