15 AWESOME FACTS ABOUT QUENTIN TARANTINO

Quentin Tarantino is a Hollywood legend who thrives on controversy and shock. All of his films are intended to disgust, alienate and question his audience’s own morality and sense of self; a form of filmmaking that divides critics and film lovers alike.
He’s one of the most famous directors in the world, and he’s famously open about his life, but here are 10 factoids you might not have known about him and his movies, unless you’re a movie geek.

15 AWESOME FACTS ABOUT QUENTIN TARANTINO

2 . HE WENT TO THE JAMES BEST ACTING SCHOOL
Yes, he took a drama class from Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane himself.

3  HIS FIRST FILM WAS CALLED MY BEST FRIEND’S BIRTHDAY

5. HE LET STEVEN SODERBERGH USE MICHAEL KEATON FOR OUT OF SIGHT
Keaton played Ray Nicolet in Tarantino’s Rum Punch adaptation Jackie Brown and then played the same character in Soderbergh’s Elmore Leonard movie too. Quentin insisted that Miramax not charge Universal for the rights to the character.

6. His revenge and ‘blaxploitation’ films are based on his genuine hatred of racism, slavery and the anti-black sentimentality of the American South. 7. HE HATED WHAT OLIVER STONE DID TO HIS NATURAL BORN KILLERS SCRIPT
Particularly, the stylized sitcom scene with Mallory Knox’s family turned him off, and he asked to take his name off the screenplay and settled for store credit so no one would think he wrote that.

8.Tarantino was thanked in Nirvana’s In Utero, though his name was spelled differently. In turn, Tarantino thanked Nirvana on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and add included ‘RIP Kurt’.

9. The majority of his movies contain a scene involving women’s feet and has said in an interview that he enjoys filming feet.

10.The suit bought in Jackie Brown is the same as the one worn by Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction.

11.His friend Robert Rodriguez scored the soundtrack for Kill Bill for $1. In return, Tarantino directed a scene in Rodriguez’s film Sin City for the same fee.

12. The band aid on Ving Rhame’s neck in Pulp Fiction was not aesthetic: he had a shaving accident which Tarantino utilised.

13. The actual film of Death Proof was physically scratched to achieve a ‘dirty’ aesthetic.

14. He is 6ft 1inch tall.

15. He was production assistant for a workout video by Dolph Lundgren called Maximum Potential.
