Kim Kardashian's Daughter Asked Her How She Got Famous, And Kim's Response Was Pure Gold
At the ripe old age of 26, it still feels like I'm light years away from having children. Parenting scares me for two reasons: 1) How do I ensure that my kid comes out super cool and not the absolute worst, and 2) how do I know when to start telling them the truth about the world and, like, myself?

At the ripe old age of 26, it still feels like I'm light years away from having children. Parenting scares me for two reasons: 1) How do I ensure that my kid comes out super cool and not the absolute worst, and 2) how do I know when to start telling them the truth about the world and, like, myself?
Know what I mean? Well, Kim Kardashian certainly does.
Ya know, Kim Kardashian, lover of fashions, drawer of attention, and master of contours — maybe you've heard of her?
I can name more Kardashian-Jenners than I can elements in the Periodic Table.

In case you're too young to remember 2006 (if so, I hate you), Kim Kardashian first broke into Hollywood as Paris Hilton's friend.
Well, Paris Hilton's friend/personal closet organizer, depending on how you look at it.

But (and more infamously) Kim Kardashian gained quite a bit of fame from a sensual home video with singer Ray J.
I mean, Paris Hilton had one, Colin Farrell had one, Verne "Mini Me" Troyer had one — all the cool kids were doin' it!
Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape, or form actually praising these kinds of films.

Flash-forward a decade, and Kim Kardashian now has a 5-year-old daughter named North.
I may not have children yet, but I do know that 5 is around the age where they start getting real curious.

Specifically, North was curious as to how her über-famous mother became so popular in the first place.
During an interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, Kim recalled her daughter's question: "'Mom, why are you famous?' And I was like, 'Mmm, okay I'm gonna have to explain this one now.'"

"And I'm like, 'We have a TV show. We have a TV show,'" said Kim.
"And she was like, 'Oh, okay,'" explained Kim.
Ahhh, so that's how you shield your young children from the real world: Give them the partial truth and nothing but the partial truth.

Naturally, the internet found Kim's response very entertaining.
It's sort of funny because literally everyone is in on this joke except 5-year-old North

Although, some people suggested that North would find out the whole truth as soon as she learned how to use Google.
But so what? She's gonna find out sooner or later anyway...
...See why I might not be the greatest parent?

Continuing on the topic of North, Big Boy asked, "Do you think North has more money than us?"
The answer is so obvious, it hurts.
"North is good," laughed Kim

Of course, the reason North "is good" is largely because her mother has worked rather tirelessly to build the KKW empire.
If you don't respect Kim Kardashian as a businesswoman, then you might need to take a closer look at all that she's done.

As for Kim's special home video, if I were her, I'd have absolutely zero shame about it — nada.
Sure, it's not something that you share with your 5-year-old.
But down the line, if Kim ever wants to teach her daughter about being successful despite people using something you did 10 years ago against you (particularity because you're a woman), then there's a lesson to be had.

At the end of the day, Kim is doing her best.
And her best has made North filthy rich, so I doubt little Northie is gonna be ungrateful.
